What's included

Every visit covers

Interior & exterior glass

Both sides hand-washed and squeegeed, then detailed at the edges so there are no drips left in the corners.

Sills and tracks

Sills wiped and tracks vacuumed and wiped out — the part that makes a window actually look clean. Sills are complimentary. Tracks are complimentary on storm windows. Crankout tracks are $1.00 each.

Screens

Screens removed, cleaned and reinstalled in the same opening they came from. Interior screens are $1.50 each, exterior screens are $2.00 each. Make it a deluxe screen cleaning with soap scrub and full wash down for an extra $1.00 per screen.

Storm windows

Twin Cities storms and triple-tracks handled carefully, including the between-glass surfaces where possible.

Hard water treatment

Sprinkler and mineral spotting treated separately. Chris will tell you honestly whether it lifts or whether the glass is already etched.

Careful in your home

Shoes off or covered, furniture moved and replaced, drop cloths under every interior window.

What clean windows actually take in Minnesota

Twin Cities glass takes a beating: spring pollen, summer sprinkler overspray, fall pollen and leaf tannins, then a winter of road grime and salt spray. Add hard water in much of the metro and the mineral film builds up year over year until it etches the glass permanently.

That's why the timing matters as much as the technique. Spring cleaning after pollen drops and a fall cleaning after the leaves come down keeps the film from ever setting, and it's dramatically cheaper than restoration work on stained glass.

Interior and exterior, or exterior only

Interior and exterior is the most popular choice and the only way to get sills, tracks and screens included. Most homeowners book it once or twice a year.

Exterior-only is a good fit if you keep the insides up yourself, or if you want a quick refresh before a party, a listing photo shoot or an open house. It's less expensive and doesn't require anyone inside the house.

Owner-operated, across the metro

Chris Hoff does the work himself with more than ten years on Twin Cities homes — no rotating subcontractors and no upsell script. The person who quotes the job is the person cleaning your glass, and you walk the property with him before payment.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How much does residential window cleaning cost in Minneapolis?+

It's a flat rate based on the number of panes, how many stories, and how reachable the glass is. Interior and exterior costs more than exterior only. You get the exact number before any work starts, and the estimate is always free.

How often should I have my windows cleaned?+

Twice a year — spring and fall — keeps hard water and pollen film from setting into the glass. Once a year is enough for shaded homes without sprinklers hitting the windows.

Do you clean screens and tracks?+

Tracks are included in all storm window cleaning. Interior screen cleaning is $1.50 per screen and exterior screens are $2.00 per screen. Make it a deluxe screen with soap and water for an additional $1.00 per screen.

Do I need to be home?+

For exterior-only, no — just leave the gates unlocked. Interior work needs someone to let Chris in, and most people come along on the final walk-through.

Can you remove hard water spots?+

Often yes, with a mineral treatment separate from the standard clean. If the glass has already etched, Chris will show you and tell you straight rather than charging for work that won't help.

Are you insured?+

Yes — proof of insurance is available on request.
